Polaris Introduces 2012 ATV and Side by Side Lineup

For the past four years, Polaris has aggressively launched new products, why should 2012 be any different.

For the past four years, Polaris has aggressively launched new products, evolved its off-road offerings and changed the industry. While most companies retreated, Polaris grew its business to become No. 1 in the off-road industry with one of the best and most-innovative ATV and Side-by-Side offerings available. For model year 2012, Polaris will continue this trend by introducing another new model, making significant upgrades to existing products and having a couple surprises through the year.

Modelyear 2012 will be no different,” said Matt Homan, vice president and general manager of Polaris’ Off-Road Division. “From the hardest working, smoothest riding off-road utility vehicles and ATVs, to Side-by-Sides built for razor sharp performance, Polaris offers the most complete line-up of off-road vehicles on the market.”

To make the hardest working value models work even harder, the Sportsman 800 EFI, Sportsman Big Boss 6×6 800, Sportsman 500 H.O. and Sportsman 400 H.O. will receive integrated front storage for 2012. Changes in the 2-Up Segment include the Sportsman Touring 500 H.O. also receiving integrated front storage. To complement the line, Polaris will offer several limited edition models across the premium, value and 2-Up lines including the Sportsman XP 850 EPS, Sportsman Touring 850 H.O., Sportsman 550 EPS and Sportsman 500 H.O. models.


Ranger RZR

Priced at $9,999, the RZR170 offers a value trail machine that stays true to the RANGER RZR family.

Since 2008, Polaris has introduced a new RANGER RZR model every year and Model Year 2012 will be no different, introducing the new RANGER RZR 570, the second trail-capable side-by-side in the RANGER RZR family. Priced at $9,999, the single-cylinder unit offers a value trail machine that stays true to the RANGER RZR family promise of being the ultimate combination of power, suspension and agility.

The RANGER RZR family is only Side-by-Side line up with the ultimate combination of power, suspension and agility. This past January, Polaris introduced a whole new class of Side-by-Side, the highly-anticipated RANGER RZR XP 900, the reception has been incredible. To build off the RANGER RZR XP 900’s success, for 2012, the company took xtreme performance features first introduced on the RANGER RZR XP 900 and added them across the line.

Features found on the RANGER RZR XP 900 that will be added to the RANGER RZR 800, RANGER RZR S 800 and RANGER RZR 4 800 include a front drive cage made from zinc for added durability, a durable dual clutch inlet for low and high speed cooling, improved fit and finish in the cockpit and a 33-percent thicker skid plate. The entire line also will feature a new passenger grab bar tube with an anti-rattle bushing for reduced noise. The xtreme performing RANGER RZR XP 900 also will feature a redesigned front suspension geometry for less steering effort increased maneuverability at slow speeds, convenient, adjustable Fox 2.0 shocks and a rubber isolated prop shaft for less driveline noise. Several RANGER RZR XP 900, RANGER RZR 800, RANGER RZR S 800 and RANGER RZR 4 800 limited edition models also will be available.

Ranger

For 2012, the multi passenger line up gets a new member with the introduction of the RANGER CREW Diesel.

Polaris RANGER utility vehicles are the hardest working, smoothest riding Side-by-Sides available in full-size, midsize and multi-passenger models. For 2012, the multi passenger line up gets a new member with the introduction of the RANGER CREW Diesel. The new RANGER CREW Diesel will have all the attributes of the RANGER CREW 800 but with an ISO-mounted YANMAR® diesel power plant. New in the fullsize segment for 2012, the RANGER HD 800 will be equipped with the Polaris Engine Braking System (EBS) for optimum downhill control and smooth, even deceleration during descents. Polaris also will offer several limited edition models across the fullsize, midsize and multi-passenger segments including RANGER XP 800, RANGER 500 EFI and RANGER CREW 800 models.

Youth

Outlaw 90

Polaris’ best-selling Youth line up will include five models based upon the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America’s (SVIA) Youth ATV Categories, the RANGER RZR 170 (Y-12+ and T with Big Wheel Kit) , Phoenix 200 (T), Sportsman 90 (Y-12+), Outlaw 90 (Y-12+) and Outlaw 50 (Y-6+).
